Mercedes-Benz's annual fashion week is underway in Johannesburg and this year, it's all about couture and fostering young talent.
MIDRAND - All trendy roads lead to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, taking place at the Mall of Africa in Midrand.
Local and international designers made their way to the occasion that's called "an event by Africans for Africans" to showcase the anticipated fashion from the continent.
Some of the highlights are Gavin Rajah, Thula Sindi and Khosi Nkosi.
Africa Fashion International, the owner of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, said this has become more than just a fashion show.
It also supports budding student designers under the collection AFI Prive.
The young designers get to showcase at the event and also sell their clothes online.
