JOHANNESBURG – Actresses aspiring to play legendary South African musician Brenda Fassie in a movie have been invited for a public audition.
The life of the pop diva, affectionately known as MaBrrr, who died in 2004 will be turned into a movie.
The ‘Search for Brenda’ campaign opened on Friday on www.brendathemovie.net.
It is open to all South Africans with applicants being asked to upload a 1-2min video of why they feel they are best suited to play the part of Brenda Fassie.
Applicants have been asked to upload the video to Youtube (set as a private video) send the link to Showbizbee. Their casting team will make a shortlist of the most suitable applicants.
