JOHANNESBURG – After the third day of Red Bull Music Academy Weekender (RBMA), an eager crowd gathered in 1 Fox Newtown for Fat Freddy’s Drop headline set on Saturday.
The international band's opening was exceptional.
There was an electrifying mood when the band started their set with “Midnight Marauders”. Suddenly everyone was dancing, singing and bopping.
When Fat Freddy’s Drop concluded their set, the bewitched crowd wanted more and the band delivered an infectious performance.
The four day festival which began on Thursday had 60 artists and was spread across a number of venues around Johannesburg.
Carfax, Great Dane and Kitchener's all hosted night activities.
The last day of RBMA was held in Soweto at Zone 6 venue in Diepkloof.
Some acts included Moonchild Sanelly, AKA and Kid Fonque, Thebe, Black Coffee, Das Kapital and Kenzhero among others.
