DURBAN - Former President Jacob Zuma may have started 2018 on a bad note, but it looks like his fortunes may have changed.
Zuma will be recording his favourite struggle songs in 2019.
He reached an agreement with the eThekwini Municipality to record the songs, which will form part of ensuring the preservation of heritage.
eThekwini parks, recreation and culture head Thembinkosi Ngcobo -- along with a team of officials and politicians -- visited Zuma's Nkandla homestead to present the deal to him on Saturday and he agreed.
Ngcobo said the municipality had taken the initiative to record Zuma after noticing his singing talent on stage and also wanted to ensure that his heritage is preserved before his death.
