JOHANNESBURG - Steve Hofmeyr’s content has been removed from all MultiChoice platforms.

The MultiChoice Group revealed in a statement that the decision was made because the controversial singer’s views are not aligned to its values.

The company has requested that Hofmeyr’s music video, which was nominated for an award, be withdrawn.

The singer has previously ruffled feathers with what many see as racially motivated statements on social media, as well as posting photos of the old South African flag.

The ban will impact Hofmeyr, who has a string of music videos and has also appeared in soapies and feature films.
