JOHANNESBURG - A new male birth control pill could be on the horizon.

The drug passed its first phase of human trials at the University of Washington in the US, where 40 men took part.

The men took the pill every day for a month and results showed a drop in sperm production hormones and participants didn't report any severe side effects.

eNCA's Matilda Mothoatlhaga took to the streets to find out if men would use it if it's approved for public use.
