New Zealand school performs emotional Haka at teacher's funeral


A New Zealand school paid tribute to a beloved and long-serving teacher at his funeral with a Haka performed by the entire school.

WELLINGTON, New Zealand - Students at Palmerston North Boys' High School performed traditional Maori war dance to honour their teacher who died.

The boys performed the the dance as the hearse carrying Mr Dawson Tamatea arrived at the school hall for the funeral service.

According to The Telegraph Mr Tamatea, who taught physical education and maths, worked at the school for almost 30 years after joining the teaching staff in 1986.
