JOHANNESBURG - The cash-strapped ANC is proposing amendments to the Political Party Funding Act.
The party also wants the R100,000 annual disclosure threshold raised to R250,000 or R500,000 per annum.
The organisation has not paid its staff members for months.
According to an ANC NEC document, the party also wants the R15m donation limit for a single person to be scrapped.
The governing party is also said to want that amount increased to between R50m and R100m.
The Political Party Funding Act came into effect on 1 April 2021.
The ANC says there has been a reduction in the capacity of political parties to mobilise resources for their activities and election campaign.
