Next month world leaders will come together in Paris for the United Nations Climate Summit. They're hoping to agree on a legally binding deal that will limit greenhouse gas emissions.

JOHANNESBURG – World leaders are getting ready to travel to Paris for the UN Climate Change Conference, or COP 21, which kicks off next month.

Climate change issues such as rising sea levels and greenhouse gas emissions are expected to be at the top of their agenda. It is hoped they will agree on a legally binding deal to limit greenhouse gas emissions.

According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, sea levels have risen by about 20cm since 1880.

Many think that rate will continue to accelerate depending on the amount of heat-trapping pollution that is produced.
