JOHANNESBURG - Health researchers are hoping to achieve a 90 percent cure rate for tuberculosis treatment in the near future.

There are plans for Multi-Drug Resistance TB pills to be reduced from 23 pills a day to 23 pills a week.

Director of Drug-Resistant TB in the Department of Health, Norbert Ndjeka, says they anticipate this new regimen will increase the cure rate significantly.
