JOHANNESBURG, 16 December - Seven people are currently vying for the ANC's top job. But an eighth presidential candidate is putting up his hand. And he's promised not to be anyone's puppet.

JOHANNESBURG - As the much-anticipated African National Congress (ANC) elective conference gets underway in Johannesburg, a last-minute bid for the party&39;s top job has been launched by self-proclaimed puppet.

Seven people are currently vying for the ANC&39;s top job, but an eighth presidential candidate is putting up his hand.

It is not clear at this stage if there is anyone pulling the strings behind the scenes of Chester Missing&39;s surprise candidacy. 

eNCA&39;s Joanne Joseph spoke to Missing about his chances of success.
