The Johannesburg franchise of the Wine Show will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre.

Johannesburg - The Johannesburg franchise of the Wine Show will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre.

The annual event for wine enthusiasts and those curious at heart will commence on May 3 until May 5, making it the eighth show this year.

Visitors can expect to taste a wide variety of local and international wines amongst Johannesburg&39;s trendy crowd at a small price of R120 for entrance.

The event offers interactive educational theatres, a sushi bar, boules and virtual golf to truly create a family atmosphere and to encourage visitors to spend up to eight hours at the show supporting our exhibitors.

The informative Wine Theatre sessions are free of charge where visitors can browse through a selection of wines that cater to every taste and pocket.

Producers and their local representatives will be in attendance to give visitors the opportunity to interact with them.

"The Show&39;s unique blend of edutainment, mouth-watering food and SA&39;s finest wineries has proved popular in Jo&39;burg and PE (Port Elizabeth) and so we decided that it was time to bring the Winelands to Durban," says John Woodward, Director of The Wine Show.

"With the festive season just around the corner, the Show is also perfectly timed to start Christmas shopping for friends, family and corporate gifts or simply to stock up on your personal collection of wine for the upcoming festive season."

Tickets are available through Computicket at R120 per person in advance or R140 at the door.

This includes a crystal tasting glass, all tastings, access to the wine theatre and a map to help you navigate the show.

Weekend passes cost R220 per person and a 10% discount applies for groups of 10 or more people.

Students and pensioners who visit the Show on Sunday, May 5 will also qualify for a 10% discount.
