JOHANNESBURG -President Cyril Ramaphosa has granted veteran broadcaster, Xolani Gwala, a Special Provincial Official Funeral Category 2.
Gwala died a week ago after battling cancer.
The respected journalist will be buried in his hometown of Impendle in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday.
The announcement from the Presidency means all flags in KZN will be flown at half-mast.
Ramaphosa has hailed Gwala as a youthful veteran who embodied values of listening and being open to opposing views.
