YouTube Music launched in South Africa

JOHANNESBURG - New music streaming service YouTube Music has officially been launched in South Africa.

The service offers subscribers exclusive access content such as music videos, live performances and singles.

Music lovers will be able to enjoy the ad-supported version of the service, while YouTube Music Premium will give subscribers an ad-free experience at R 59.99 a month or R 89.90 for a Family Plan

A three-month free trial is available for a limited time only to those who wish to subscribe to the Premium service.

Meanwhile, several stars including Nasty C, Lady Zamar and Amanda Black performed at the launch of the streaming service in Johannesburg on Tuesday night.
