JOHANNESBURG - Clicks shareholders were left gratified by the news that the cosmetics and pharmacy retailer showed a massive increase in profits, despite a recession and a difficult market.
The retailer&39;s profit rose by 15.4 percent to R1.8 billion.
The company says this was powered by its smart pricing, aimed at consumers who are already under pressure.
The group opened a whopping 111 stores during the year.
Its pharmacy network increased by 73 to 473.
Clicks says it expects that the rest of the year will be subdued as consumers continue to battle with a slow economy and creeping inflation.
