JOHANNESBURG - Rating agencies S&P and Moody’s are scheduled to review South Africa&39;s credit rating later on Friday.
On Thursday rating agency Fitch announced it will keep its credit rating unchanged at BB plus, or junk status.
It also maintained a stable outlook for the country.
In Moody’s last review, it affirmed South Africa’s long-term local-currency sovereign credit rating at an investment-grade BBB minus, with a negative outlook.
It’s expected Moody’s will join other agencies who have downgraded South Africa to junk status.
