Ramaphosa unveils vision for SA economy

JOHANNESBURG - The country&39;s economy can grow by up to three percent next year and five percent by 2023, and create a million jobs in the next five years.

Those are the targets and projections in ANC Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa&39;s vision for the country&39;s economy, which he&39;s dubbed the New Deal.

The Race: Poll shows Ramaphosa leading the race

Among the promises and proposals is a revival of the manufacturing sector, free higher education for the poor and support for small and medium enterprises.

He&39;s also promising to strengthen state and accountability institutions.
