VBS Mutual Bank was placed under curatorship on Sunday.

JOHANNESBURG - One VBS curator insists the bank won&39;t be going down under.

R900-million has gone missing from the Limpopo-based bank, leaving investors unable to withdraw funds.

The bank was placed under curatorship in March by the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).

Subsequently, the SARB said the financial situation at VBS Bank is much worse than initially believed.

According to VBS curator Nditsheni Tshithavhani though, there is no need for people to panic as the bank is not closing.
