13 TMPD officers expected in court on alleged corruption charges

JOHANNESBURG - Thirteen Tshwane Metro Police officers are expected to appear in three different courts on charges of alleged corruption.

The traffic officers were arrested in different parts of the capital.

They will appear in the Pretoria, Hammanskraal and Themba Magistrate's Courts

Some of the charges include soliciting bribes from motorists.

The Road Traffic Management Corporation has urged the metro to take action against those guilty of wrongdoing.

Tshwane Metro Police spokesperson Isaac Mahamba says the possibility of more arrests cannot be ruled out.
