JOHANNESBURG - The Fair Trade Independent Tobacco Association is refuting claims made against the Gold Leaf Tobacco Corporation.
Tax Justice South Africa called for action against the corporation, accusing it of selling cigarettes to minors.
The association's Sinenhlanhla Mnguni said it asked for proof and told eNCA the corporation is being targeted.

The organisation's Yusuf Abramjee maintains that Gold Leaf Tobacco Corporation was selling cigarettes online to private customers without checking if buyers were of the legal age.
