Alex protests could spread if demands aren't met

SANDTON - The Alexandra shutdown is showing no sign of slowing down. 

The community leaders say they'll extend their protests to other areas if their demands for better services aren't met.

Gauteng Premier David Makhura met with residents on Tuesday to accept a memorandum but it did little to appease angry residents, who have been protesting since last week. 

President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected in the area later this week while Mayor Herman Mashaba's saying he'll meet with residents on Monday
