Scores of families in Alexandra in Johannesburg have woken up homeless on Friday morning.
JOHANNESBURG - Alexandra residents say firefighters were ill-prepared to deal with the blaze that destroyed more than 500 structures.
But emergency services have blamed low water pressure in the area, as well as those who have built on top of fire hydrants, making them impossible to reach.
Some witnesses are blaming arson for Thursday's fire.
No deaths or injuries have been reported.
Police say they're investigating a case of attempted murder related to the incident.
