JOHANNESBURG – Gauteng Human Settlements MEC Lebogang Maile wants EFF Gauteng leader Mandisa Mashego charged and appearing in court soon.
Maile is in Alexandra to lay charges against the Economic Freedom Fighters.
He is accusing the parties of instigating the illegal occupation of land and the recent demolitions of homes in the area.
Maile said he wants a criminal case and a civil lawsuit against Mashesgo instituted.
“I want her arrested and charged, so I will get a case number today, I will be told who is managing the case and will be sitting on his or her neck to ensure that she is charged and she appears in court,” Maile said.
“I want her in court at least next week.
“We are writing to her today to start the civil lawsuit process, it has its own procedures, so once we’ve done that, we will then put a price on what we want and whatever money we want from both the EFF and Mandisa, it is money we are going to donate to the people of Alexandra to develop this place.”
