AmaZulu Royal Historian Shalo Mbatha says the ceremony will take place despite the court action.
"It's not going to change anything, his Majesty is fine and will be here," she said.
"Whatever is happening in Pietermaritzburg is going to be handled there."
Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi on Friday said the number of attempts to challenge the AmaZulu throne is unprecedented.
Buthelezi says attempts to claim the throne makes a mockery of the Zulu nation.
