JOHANNESBURG - Trade union Amcu on Tuesday called for secondary strike action in the coal and Platinum sectors.

This comes after mining company Sibanye-Stillwater announced plans to shed at least six thousand jobs.

Amcu president Joseph Mathunjwa says the union condemns the miner's plan to retrench employees.
