JOHANNESBURG - The ANC says South Africa must maximise the use of locally produced goods and services in order to create jobs.
The party discussed the country's economic crisis at a second special virtual NEC lekgotla on Monday.
ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa says this will foster radical economic transformation.
"To achieve significant job creations multiplier, the emphasis will be localisation including maximising the use of South African materials and construction companies as well as labour intensive methods and through this will be fostering radical economic transformation to enable the majority of our people, to enable black-led companies, to enable women-led companies, to enable youth-led companies to be key players in the recovery process as we move on," Ramaphosa said.
