ANC 'humbled by support' received so far

African National Congress head of the presidency, Zizi Kodwa commented on the incoming election results.

JOHANNESBURG - The governing party said it is still too early to comment on results but they are humbled by the support they've received so far.

ANC head of the presidency Zizi Kodwa said the ANC would be looking at ways to make the state more effective and combatting silos in governance.

Kodwa expressed it is still early days to make definitive comments on the results as the numbers from fairly big metros are still to be counted.

He said, "[We are] confident we will not disappoint millions of people who continue to have their aspirations and hope in the ANC."

Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to appear at the results centre later on Friday.
