KZN ANC spokesperson dies of COVID-19

DURBAN - Ricardo Mthembu, KZN ANC spokesperson, has died of COVID-19 related complications.

Mthembu had reportedly been hospitalised for a period of time before his death.

He was appointed in his position in August 2019 following a stint as mayor of the KwaDukuza Municipality.

South Africa added more than 10,000 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

The total number of cases is 215,855 with 3,502 deaths reported.
