ANC leaders meet to address North West crisis

PRETORIA - A meeting involving the ANC North West PEC, the dissolved provincial task team and a special national team headed by ANC deputy President David Mabuza is underway at Luthuli House on Sunday.

It's unclear what's on the agenda, but last week the South Gauteng High Court reinstated the PEC that was dissolved last year.

The ANC's North West chair Supra Mahumapelo and four others approached the court to have the NEC's decision overturned and were successful.

On Saturday, the PEC held its first meeting since its reinstatement and it was compulsory for everyone in that meeting to express a view.

Meanwhile, the ANC says it's planning to appeal the High Court's decision.
