JOHANNESBURG - ANC Secretary-General Ace Magashule has been suspended from the party after he failed to step aside.

Magashule is facing dozens of counts of fraud, theft, corruption, money laundering and more.

This relates to the controversial asbestos removal audit in the Free State.

The asbestos removal project cost more than R250-million and was completed when Magashule was Free State Premier.

The case against Magashule and other co-accused is expected to continue in August this year.
