JOHANNESBURG - Disgruntled ANC employees are expected to embark on a nationwide strike over the party’s failure to pay salaries on time.
The ANC has been experiencing financial problems with staff raising issues of late payment since 2019.
Now that they’ve had enough of the party’s excuses, workers are expected to hand over a memorandum of demands at the party’s headquarters, Luthuli House in Johannesburg.
Meanwhile, ANC treasurer-general Paul Mashatile claims the ANC’s found several ghost workers on its payroll and says that the party is now auditing its staff.
He also added that there’s a very real possibility of staff cuts.
