ANC veteran Dumisani Kumalo dies

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa's former Ambassador to the UN Dumisani Kumalo has died.

Khumalo died peacefully at his home. He was 71.

The former diplomat was first deployed to the United Nations in 1999.

He returned home 10-years later in 2009.

Khumalo was forced into exile in 1977 and sought refuge in the United States, where he continued his political activities.
