ANC Western Cape wants province to revert to Level 5 lockdown

JOHANNESBURG - The ANC in the Western Cape wants the province to revert to level 5 lockdown.

The province has recorded nearly 4,500 COVID-19 infections.

It's followed by Gauteng with below two thousand infections.

The Western Cape has also recorded the highest number of deaths, currently at 88.

The ANC in the province says a large number of people are exposed to infections at shopping centres, farms and factories.

It's also calling for law enforcement to be deployed at hotspots.

Meanwhile, Western Cape Premier Alan Winde wants President Cyril Ramaphosa's intervention to ease backlogs in COVID-19 test results.
