JOHANNESBURG - The ANC has withdrawn the motion of no-confidence against Joburg Mayor Herman Mashaba.

The party will however table it again at the next Council sitting.

The ANC wanted to remove Mashaba, saying the city is in a poor financial state.

It's claimed to have the support of more than 140 councillors.

In 2017, Mashaba survived a motion of no confidence, after the ANC claimed he had failed to adequately provide services to the city's residents.
