Another delay in Pretoria murder trial

PRETORIA - A 22-year-old woman charged with the murder of her 40-year-old Ugandan boyfriend was back at the Pretoria magistrate’s court on Monday.

Angeline Seanego was supposed to apply for bail on Monday but the matter was postponed.

Proceedings ended up being very short as the matter was postponed to allow for a bail application.

The state prosecutor told the court the address that the accused provided on the charge sheet is false.

It said the person who owns the house is related to Seanego but says she doesn’t live there and isn’t welcome either.

Seanego’s lawyer said it was not her intention to give a false address.

They say she didn’t expect that she would be banned from this family member’s home but the family of the deceased disagrees with this.

The case has been postponed to next week Tuesday to give police time to verify the address of the accused ahead of her bail hearing.
