Ipsos poll predicts ANC to win national vote

Ipsos predicts the ANC will win more than 60 percent of the national vote. While the DA will remain the main opposition but will decline from the 22 percent it achieved in 2014. Ipsos Director, Mari Harris with more on this. Courtesy #DStv403

PRETORIA - Market research and a consulting firm Ipsos predict the ANC will win more than 60 percent of the national vote. 

The governing party is predicted to receive between 61% and 65%  of the vote.

While the DA will remain the main opposition but will decline from the 22 percent it achieved in 2014. 

Ipsos Director, Mari Harris says DA is bound to lose numbers because their supporters have questioned the party’s leadership. 

However, Harris doesn’t think the DA will lose the Western Cape province. 

In 2014, the ANC received 62 %, DA 22 % and the EFF 6 % of the national vote.
