Bad news for drunk drivers

JOHANNESBURG - The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RMTC) wants drunk drivers to spend a good seven days behind bars before they can even make apply for bail.

RMTC also wants driving under the influence to be escalated from a schedule 2 offence to a schedule 5 or 6.

This will make it similar to murder and rape.
