Body of SA holidaymaker found in Mozambique

The body of a South African holidaymaker, who went missing over the weekend at the Mozambique Portuguese Island, near Maputo, has been found. Three other South African holidaymakers are still missing at sea. They were among a group of eight friends who were on holiday there. One of their relatives, Kabelo Matsepe joins us on the line. MAPUTO - A missing South African holidaymaker's body has been found while others remain missing in Mozambique.

A group of six people went missing over the weekend at the Mozambique Portuguese island.

Three other South African holidaymakers are still missing at sea.

They were among a group of eight friends who were on holiday there.

One of their relatives, Kabelo Matsepe, explained the six people went swimming and were overcome by a strong current.

One person was able to break free from the current and get to shore and call for help. 

One person was rescued by emergency services and another's body was found.
