As a precaution, the team had to cancel Sunday's training session in Johannesburg.

Team management immediately put the squad into self-isolation until specialist medical advice can be obtained from the Lions Series Medical Advisory Group.

Coach Jacques Nienaber's charges will host the British and Irish Lions during three Test matches starting in Cape Town on 24 July.
