JOHANNESBURG - The brother of a man who was killed during student protests in Braamfontein last year says he's shocked that the justice system has freed the men accused of his murder.

Mthokozisi Ntumba was shot with rubber bullets as he left the doctor's office.

The police officers have been acquitted after the court found there isn't sufficient evidence to convict them.

One of the officers says this means he can finally move on with his life but Ntumba's family they have been left with more questions.

"I'm shocked the court found that there is not enough evidence against the police officers," Ayanda Ntumba said.

"How does that happen? Their captain identified them, what more does the court want?"

The NPA has accepted the ruling.
