Bushiri case postponed to November

PRETORIA - The case against controversial leader of the Enlightened Christian Gathering Church Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary has been postponed to 29 November.

The couple appeared briefly at the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court in Pretoria on Thursday morning.

Crowds gathered outside the court in support of the pair. 

The two were arrested in February and face fraud and money laundering charges.

They also face charges for contravening the Prevention of Organised Crime Act.

The couple was granted R100,000 bail in February.
