JOHANNESBURG - There are growing calls for Gauteng to reconsider alcohol sales.

Industry expert Maurice Smithers says the government missed the mark on liquor restrictions when it moved the country to alert Level 3 lockdown.

According to Smithers, from the Southern African Alcohol Policy Alliance, a situation is brewing, particularly at on-sight consumption outlets.
