Cape Town International named Africa's leading airport

JOHANNESBURG - Cape Town International Airport's once again been named the continent's leading airport.

That was at the Travel Awards Africa held in Durban on Saturday.

The awards recognise excellence in the global travel and tourism industry.

Cape Town Airport saw a 5 percent increase in visitors last year.

The airport said the accolade demonstrates its commitment and hard work.

Meanwhile, both Cape Town and OR Tambo International Airport are gunning for the global leading airport at the World Travel Awards in Portugal in December.
