JOHANNESBURG - The long-delayed carbon tax will come into effect on Saturday and with it, expectations that the fuel price and the cost of electricity will rise.
Songo Didiza, Founding Director of Green Building Design Group, stated the new law is not a punishment but an opportunity to invest in cleaner processes.
Didiza said business owners should approach the law as an incentive to change the way they do business.
She said, "there are incentives in place to minimise corporate tax liability and add value to the environment."
