JOHANNESBURG - The row between Police Minister Bheki Cele and Robert McBride, the head of the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) heads to Parliament on Friday.

McBride claims Cele has launched a smear campaign against him because he is not afraid to tackle police corruption at the highest level.
He took the matter to court, which ruled that the decision falls squarely in the hands of the Police Parliamentary Portfolio Committee since the appointment of the IPID head goes through Parliament.
