City of Cape Town distances itself from Clifton beach uproar

JOHANNESBURG - A private security company in Cape Town is alleged to have kicked beachgoers off Clifton beach after sunset.

The City of Cape Town is distancing itself from the incident saying there are no by-laws allowing for beach closures.

The city is also denying that either itself or the metro police closed the beach.
