JOHANNESBURG - Unions want the government to intervene in the impasse between employees and Clover.

Workers have been on strike since November.

Among their demands is an end to proposed retrenchments.

Meanwhile, the CCMA has ordered Clover to pay workers the 13th cheque bonuses which were due late in November.

The Food and Allied Workers Union and the General Industries Workers Union organised pickets outside the CCMA offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

The unions claim the company withheld the bonuses to demoralise striking workers last year.
