JOHANNESBURG - Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs say bad weather is the main cause behind the KZN church collapse.
At least 13 people have been killed and about nine others are reportedly critical in hospital after parts of a church collapsed in Dlangubo, Empangeni.
Nomusa Dube-Ncube said heavy rains led to the collapse at the Pentecostal church full of worshippers on Thursday night.
Meanwhile, DA leader Mmusi Maimane has sent his condolences to the families of the Empangeni church collapse victims.
He is calling for people to assist churches to build strong and safe infrastructure.
Maimane is in Chatsworth in Durban where he is expected to attend a church service on Friday.
