JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng residents shouldn't be packing away their blankets just yet.

Weather services are predicting a possible cold snap this weekend, with a slim chance of showers.

Rain would be welcomed by many in Gauteng, as just on Monday weather services released another warning of unhealthy elevated pollution levels.

Colder weather is not particularly out of the ordinary for this time of year.

Nine years ago this week saw the last snowfall in Gauteng.
