JOHANNESBURG - The Labour Court has ruled in favour of Comair in the wage dispute with Numsa.
This puts the brakes on a planned strike, which was temporarily interdicted by the Labour Court last week.
“We value our employees and respect their right to strike however, would always prefer to reach a mutually acceptable solution. We will continue to engage the union,” said Wrenelle Stander, Comair’s Executive Director – Airline Division in a statement.
Numsa members had downed tools over salary disparities.
Talks between the employer and unions deadlocked this weekend.
Workers want equal pay for employees performing similar duties.
